At L’Officine Du Style, we believe that the key to create and maintain a valuable relationship reside in two key words “Trust” and “Clear Communication”, this is why we would like to set out the terms and conditions on which we supply services and product(s) to you.
L’officine Du Style guarantees the authenticity of every product we provide to our clients. Certain product(s) may also include the designer’s own proof of authenticity, such as an authenticity card, dust bag, serial number, or other complimentary items.
These terms and conditions govern your access to, and use of, our services. By accessing, or requesting services from L’officine Du Style, you agree that these terms and conditions shall apply.
1 – Definition And Interpretation
In these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:
Client: a person or organisation using the concierge services provided by L’Officine Du Style.
Conditions: these Terms and Conditions, as it is applicable to you and us. We reserve the right the amend or change these terms and conditions without prior notice to you. It is your responsibility to read these conditions in full before making a request for a service from us. The date of the latest update will be displayed on the top of this page for your convenience.
Fee: means the Fee payable by the client to L’Officine Du Style upon acceptance of a request in accordance with section 3.
L’Officine Du Style: references in this document to “us,” “our,” and “we” refer to L’Officine Du Style and Lofficinedustyle.com.
Payment Card: means credit/debit or charge card which you provide to us and of which we hold the details.
Request: means a request placed by a client with L’Officine Du Style for L’Officine Du Style to arrange the supply of goods and/or services from a third party on the client’s behalf.
Services: means the concierge services provided by L’Officine Du Style to its Clients.
Website: means the website located at www.lofficinedustyle.com
2 – Supply Of Services
2.1 You may request our services by contacting us by telephone (+447308124619) or (+33785971080); Whatsapp (+447308124619) or (+33785971080); or email (contact@lofficinedustyle.com).
2.2 L’Officine Du Style shall not be required to provide or facilitate the supply of goods and/or services that it deems, at its sole discretion, may violate applicable laws, standards and/or regulations or may offend taste and decency in the relevant jurisdiction.
2.3 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
2.4 Client request for services is accepted by us, when we have agreed with you in writing. This agreement will be made on the original platform chosen by you for this communication, such as email, Whatsapp, We Chat, Lime, Apple message. If the agreement is made over telephone, the confirmation will be provided by email. Any special conditions that apply to your order will be notified at the time of accepting your request. These communications will form part of a contract between us along with the terms stated in these Terms and Conditions.
2.5 Service fees and other relevant financial details will be shared and agreed with you at the time of us gathering your requirements for the goods or services you wish to procure.
2.6 L’officine Du Style, acting reasonably, reserves the right to withdraw or refuse any of the services and/or to refuse to accept any requests at its sole discretion.
2.7 Upon an agreement between you and L’officine Du Style on the goods or services you wish to order, and once procurement of these has begun by us, it may not be possible for you to cancel your request. You may also still be obliged to pay some or all our fees and for the relevant product(s) ordered. If a product is ordered by us on your behalf, the specific Retailer(s)’ return and refund policy will apply. Provided that we have not yet started working on your request, you have 14 days to cancel your request to us.
2.8 Force majeure – L’Officine Du Style shall have no liability under or be deemed to be in breach of this agreement for any delays or failures in performance of this agreement which result from circumstances beyond their reasonable control. We shall promptly notify you when such circumstances cause a delay or failure in performance and when they cease to do so.
3 – Fees And Payment
3.1 Upon our acceptance of your request for services, we may require the provision of payment card details (which you agree shall be in your name) to secure the service request and any subsequent purchase(s). You authorise us to debit your payment card, and you will be liable for payment, in relation to:
• Any payments that you have agreed to make for our services; and
• Where we have notified you in advance of the relevant charges applied to the time of our personal shopper, you are fully liable to us for such charges. Our fee for services will be the fees quoted to you during the request-for-services process. We will invoice you for the price of the services, including the price of any product(s) ordered and service charge for their procurement, when we have located the product(s) requested, but before the order has been placed.
3.2 You acknowledge and agree that we may use “Stripe” (a PCI Service Provider Level 1 certificated platform) to process and store your payment card details. Payments processed via Stripe incur an additional x.xx% fee, payable by you. Our checkout process with Stripe is served over SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), ensuring that sensitive card details are never processed or retained by our own servers. Although we take every reasonable precaution to protect sensitive client data, we urge our clients to make payments from secure devices and using a secure network. L’officine Du Style cannot be held responsible for any data breach if payment is made by you from a device that has been compromised by a virus or malware, or over a network that is not secure.
3.3 For larger payments, the limit of which shall be set by us and notified to you in advance, we may request that you pay by International BACS transfer. This can be arranged with your bank directly.
3.4 If you do not make any payment to us within the payment period set out in the invoice provided, we may end the contract for services at any time, notifying you in writing.
4 – Purchasing Product(S)
4.1 You may purchase product(s) from our selected third-party retailers and suppliers (“Retailers”) via L’Officine Du Style. You must be over 18 years old to make a purchase and be the cardholder of the payment card used for the order. You may also require us to purchase product(s) from a Retailer on your behalf. In such instance, we will purchase the relevant product(s) for you in accordance with your instructions. If you decide to purchase product(s) from our online platform, our platform Terms of Use shall apply.
You acknowledge and agree that:
• All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price by the Retailer; and
• We shall endeavour to notify you of processing times, delivery methods and prices, and returns and refund policies of third-party Retailers on any preliminary invoice or confirmation notification we send to you.
4.2 You will be required to provide us with your payment card details (if we do not already have them) before we order any product(s) for you. You agree to pay to us all charges notified to us by the Retailer for the relevant product(s), and any fee agreed for our services as set out in section 3 above. In accordance with section 3, you authorise us to debit your payment card in relation to:
• Any payments that you have agreed to make for the product(s); and
• Any additional fees charged to us by the Retailer (such as banking charges or import duties, as set out in section 4.4.b), of which you are fully liable to us. Payment (in full or in part) of any preliminary invoice we provide to you in respect of product(s) shall be considered an agreement to purchase that product(s). As we procure items to order, once a deposit payment has been made on the order, we shall treat that order as confirmed and you will be liable to pay the balance to us within the notified time period.
4.3 We may refuse to process or accept a transaction for product(s) for any reason, at our sole discretion. We reserve the right not to accept your order for product(s) in the event that non-receipt of full payment of any requested product’s price and/or our fees; or in the event of the product being out of stock.
4.4 Upon payment of the invoice, you will receive a confirmation of your order. The invoice and/or the confirmation shall include a brief description of the product(s) ordered.
4.5 The cost of delivery and (where applicable) import taxes/duties are not included in the prices for the product(s). The delivery costs and/or import taxes/duties applicable to your order will vary depending on a number of different factors. These include (but not limited to) the identity and/or location of the Retailer from whom the product(s) are being ordered, the type and quantity of product(s), the country of dispatch, the delivery address, country, and/or the delivery method. The delivery of the product(s) from the relevant Retailer will be made to our offices in the first instance and sent to you upon receipt. In some cases, we may request that the Retailer sends the product(s) to you directly.
4.6 To process your order, we may need to share your personal data related to your order and delivery details with the relevant Retailers. The personal data and delivery details will be collected, stored and processed in accordance with our privacy policy and in accordance with the privacy policies of the relevant Retailers.
4.7 L’Officine Dy Style will only require the information needed to secure the services you request. Information will only be disclosed to affiliates and third parties who need to know the information in order to process your orders. All data will be stored securely in accordance with European Law. Should L’officine Du Style have any legal disputes with yourself, we have the right to share and publish your activity with us with selected organisations and websites.
4.8 The product(s) shall become your responsibility upon delivery to the address you gave us.
L’Officine Dy Style will only require the information needed to secure the services you request. Information will only be disclosed to affiliates and third parties who need to know the information in order to process your orders. All data will be stored securely in accordance with European Law Should L’Officine Du Style have any legal disputes with yourself, we have the right to share and publish your activity with us with selected organisations and websites.
5 – Cancellation, Returns And Refunds
5.1 The details, images and descriptions of the product(s), provided upon provision of services or on the preliminary invoice, are provided to us by the relevant Retailers. While all efforts are made to ensure that such details and prices are accurate, your product may vary slightly from the images and descriptions given.
You acknowledge that:
• Gemstones and leather are natural materials and as such, each product is unique; and
• Due to the hand-crafted nature of some items of jewellery and leather goods, slight variations in construction, colour and decoration are normal;
• No guarantees can be made as to any product’s consistency.
5.2 We cannot guarantee that product(s) purchased from Retailers via L’officine Du Style will be of satisfactory quality, and this and any other such warranties (whether express or implied) are disclaimed by us absolutely to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You accept and acknowledge that:
• If the product(s) you have ordered are not as described, flawed or not fit for purpose, we will return them to the Retailer on your behalf. This return will be in accordance with the Retailer’s returns policy. We shall also assist you, where practical, in such return, exchange or refund;
• In the case of fine jewellery, high-value leather goods or exotic skins, in most cases any sale is considered final, and no exchange, return or refund will be possible unless otherwise stated, expressly and in advance;
• Product(s), especially fine jewellery, leather goods and other luxury items, are delicate by their nature and must be cared for appropriately. We recommend following the care guidelines that come with the relevant product carefully; and
• For every return, exchange or repair request, Retailers reserve the right to evaluate the product before agreeing to processing your request. Retailers will generally offer a refund for manufacturing defects (other than in the case of natural/handmade variations as described in section 5.1 above) but not where an item has been damaged due to handling by the customer.
5.3 If you decide to return any product for reasons other than the examples outlined in section 5.2, such as because you changed your mind or the product does not fit, the return will be subject to the return policy set out by the relevant Retailer. We shall assist you, where reasonably practicable, in any such return. In such case, you agree to be liable for any costs incurred in the return or exchange process. In some cases, Retailers may only allow an exchange but not a refund or will only be able to issue a credit note. Please check the relevant Retailer’s returns and refund policy.
5.4 Any L’Officine Du Style fees incurred for services or sourcing product(s) are non-refundable in the event of a return, exchange, or refund.
5.5 Nothing in these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights in relation to product(s) that are faulty or not as described.
6 – Limitation Of Liability
6.1 If we fail to comply with these terms and conditions, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking our contract with you or our failing to use reasonable care and skill. Foreseeable loss or damage is defined as either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made, both L’Officine Du Style and you were aware it might happen, for example, if you discussed it with us during the request process. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. We are also not responsible for any loss or damage that arises from:
• Inaccurate, incorrect or incomplete information provided by you;
• Your fault, such as careless handling after delivery; or
• Any alterations that are made to a product at your request, even if the person or organisation carrying out the alteration was introduced to you by us.
6.2 You acknowledge and agree that you shall use your own skill and judgment as to value, quality and suitability of any services or product(s) that we recommend, provide or make available to you.
